What better way to start your day than the sight and sound of these magnificent birds Lekking. With exclusive access to our remote lek you can view and photograph these Black Grouse from the comfort of your own hide as they display and jostle for the right to mate.
The word 'lek' originates from the Old Norse word for 'play' but for these Black Grouse it's a serious game. The Blackcocks (males) congregate on the lek sight and battle for territory and mating rights. They do this by jumping, flapping, fanning their tails and babbling all under close observation by the female Greyhens. The lek is at its most intense in April and May so book now for your own front row seat to this spectacular natural performance.
